Vaccine administration fees for uninsured individuals may be eligible for reimbursement through the HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program. For more information visit: https://www.hrsa.gov/coviduninsuredclaim.

Notice: If a patient paid a balance on the vaccine administration
The CDC issued guidance in February stating that providers must administer COVID-19 vaccines at no out-of-pocket costs to the recipient. If a patient paid a bill for vaccine administration, they should speak with their provider to receive a refund. Then, the provider should submit a claim through CAF for reimbursement. Patients cannot file for reimbursements through the CAF program.

If there is a patient balance on the vaccine administration, but not paid
You cannot be billed for COVID-19 vaccinations. If you receive a bill, you should first speak to the person or facility that sent it. If they don’t cancel it, contact the HHS Office of Inspector General Hotline at 1-800-HHS-TIPS or visit TIPS.HHS.GOV to file a complaint.
